Shipping & Delivery Policy
At Steel Box Source, we provide professional freight and logistics delivery services for heavy cargo equipment across our extensive network in the United States and Australia. Please review our standardized shipping terms, site requirements, and logistics parameters below prior to finalizing your order dispatch.
1. Delivery Methods & Fleet Operations
All shipping container units are systematically dispatched from our nearest regional depot directly to your designated site location. Our logistics partners deploy heavy-duty commercial delivery vehicles depending on your offloading infrastructure:
- Tilt-Bed Trucks (Landoll / Roll-Off trailer): Used for sites requiring the driver to slide the container off the rear of the trailer directly onto the ground.
- Flatbed Trucks: Ideal for commercial sites equipped with on-site heavy machinery (cranes, rough-terrain forklifts, or heavy industrial loaders) capable of lifting the container off the truck bed.
2. Site Readiness & Delivery Requirements
Because delivery vehicles weigh up to 45,000 lbs (20,400 kg) loaded, the buyer assumes full responsibility for ensuring the delivery site satisfies the following strict accessibility criteria:
- Surface Integrity: The path and drop zone must consist of dry, level ground, reinforced concrete, solid asphalt, or tightly packed gravel. Delivery vehicles will not drive over soft mud, wet grass, uncompacted soil, or sand.
- Clearance Windows: Delivery of 20ft containers requires a minimum straight-line clearance of 60 feet. Delivery of 40ft or 53ft containers requires a minimum straight-line clearance of 100 feet. Vertical overhead clearance must be completely clear of low-hanging tree branches and live utility power lines (minimum 14 feet vertical clearance required, 21 feet during offloading tilt).
3. Transit Timelines & Freight Tracking
Standard container logistics transit timelines range between 5 to 10 business days from full order payment confirmation and depot release verification. Our dispatch department will coordinate directly with you via your validated contact phone number 24 to 48 hours prior to delivery departure to lock in a specific drop-off arrival window.
